Poole in Bloomers team up with Merley & Canford W.I.Bulb Planting - Autumn/Winter

Funding from the Council's Leisure Services purchases a good number of daffodil and crocus bulbs each year for planting by volunteers in communal areas across the Borough.

In Autumn 2009 Poole in Bloom teamed up with the Merley and Canford W.I. to plant a whole host of bulbs on the corner of Merley Lane and Queen Anne Drive (right).

Donated bulbs at Talbot View Estate, April 2009While (below right) bulbs planted at the Talbot View Estate last year make a glorious display in April.

If you're willing to do the work, we can provide all you need to make a difference to your community spaces.  We supply the bulbs and can lend you bulb planting equipment to make the job easier; perhaps even some willing hands if you need them.

Please contact Trudy if you think you can arrange some bulb planting and we'll add them to our shopping list.
