2008 was the year we made some major improvements to the Hamworthy street scene through local sponsorship, recruited a talented young judge for our competitions and created some great bedding in Poole Park on behalf of the Poole Flying Boats Celebration charity:

2007 was a period of growth for Poole in Bloom.  Not only did we recruit three new members to the committee, representing Canford Cliffs, Hamworthy and Merley, but we finally went online with this web site and attracted even greater numbers of entries to our Garden of the Year competition.  The autumn's bulb-planting saw volunteers working to brighten areas of Branksome, Canford Heath and Talbot Village, with new groups coming together to plant at Canford Cliffs and the newly regenerated 'Bourne Valley Park' at Alderney Woods.

2006 is as far back as our digital archive goes; it is also the year we replaced the colouring competition with our Schools Environmental Garden Competition which continues to grow in popularity and innovation.
